[News & Events] CFL Voluntary Service for China-Island Countries Ocean-related Ministerial Roundtable

The 1st China-Island Countries Ocean-related Ministerial Roundtable kicked off in Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, China, on September 21. The ministers from 12 island countries on four continents attended the conference. At the invitation of the organizing committee, 156 undergraduates and postgraduates from College of Foreign Languages (CFL), FNU, served as voluntary interpreters for the international conference.

The volunteers were divided into four groups, responsible for reception, transport, routine and ushering respectively, offering services at the airport, the railway stations and Pingtan scenic spots as well as in the main and branch conference venues.

With great enthusiasm and excellent credentials, the students provided for the meeting such services as receiving foreign guests, ushering, airport pickup, consulting, showing FNU students’good spirit and quality and earning high praise from the leaders present, the foreign guests and the sponsor.
