An internet dialogue on internet pragmatics

AbstractThis internet dialogue discusses some current issues in internet pragmatics, a relatively new branch of pragmatics, focusing in particular on the oralization of typed text, the presentation of identity and self, the user as a node, and the relationship between relevance and (im)politeness. It is hoped that this dialogue may help to clarify some key notions and point to some directions in which further work might be done.

摘要:自生成语法进入最简方案阶段以来,分裂屈折假说促使屈折短语分裂出了体功能语类投射。对于汉语中的体范畴标记,本研究证明与英语体标记采用助动词提升进行句法推导不同,汉语是采用在语音式和逻辑式层面上的移位来推导,并进行体功能语类的投射。

Title: A contrastive study of aspectual markers in English and Chinese based on minimalist program

Abstract: At the phase of minimalist program, Pollock put forward the Split Inflection Hypothesis. Aspect, as a functional category in the inflectional phrase, has been recognized as an  independent projection in the syntactic construction. This paper proves that the Chinese aspectual markers move to the node of aspect in phonetic form and logic form in the process of derivation, while the movement of their English counterparts is realized by auxiliary raising.

不同水平中国英语学习者心理词库组织及发展的实证研究

摘要:本文旨在通过实证的方式探讨不同水平中国英语学习者心理词库组织特点和发展特征。研究发现:低水平组二语心理词库以非语义表征组织;纵聚合表征强于横组合表征。中高级水平组二语心理词库呈现非语义向语义表征迁移的趋势;横、纵组合同时发展,纵聚合表征发展快于横组合表征增长速度,但在二语水平达到一定高度后,横组合有向纵聚合迁移的趋势。不同水平组语义表征的各个子项反应发展呈现出共时非均衡的态势,主要表现在修饰、同义和上下义表征的发展速度具有明显优势。

Title: An empirical study on the organization and development of mental lexicon of Chinese EFL learners at different levels

Abstract: This paper aims to explore the organizational characteristics and developmental trends of Chinese EFL learners mental lexicon. Some major findings are as follows. First, the mental lexicon of low-level group is non-semantically related; syntagmatic relations appear stronger than paradigmatic ones. Second, in medium- and high-level groups, the non-semantic characterization would shift to semantic one; syntagmatic and paradigmatic relations may develop at the same time, but paradigmatic relations seem to develop faster than syntagmatic ones. After second language proficiency reaches a certain degree, syntagmatic relations might transfer to paradigmatic ones. Third, the developmental sequence of semantic representation’s sub-items are asynchronic and uneven, as the decorative characterization, synonymous characterization and hyponymic representation have obvious advantages in growing pace.

综合性听/-写作任务中写作者策略运用和写作水平的关系

摘要: 融合听、读等不同语言技能的综合性写作任务已广泛用作评价学生写作水平的重要手段。本研究探讨综合性听/-写作任务中写作者策略运用与写作水平的关系。结果表明,综合性写作策略的运用是一个多维结构,包括三个要素:自我调节策略的运用、话语合成策略的运用和考试技巧策略的运用。自我调节策略对其它策略类型的运用有调控作用;话语合成策略对写作水平有直接和积极的影响;考试技巧策略对写作水平有直接和消极影响。

Title: The relation between strategy use and writing performance in an integrative reading-listening-writing task 

Abstract: Writing tasks integrated with reading and listening have been widely used in assessing writing performance. This study investigates the relation between writers strategy use and writing performance in an integrative reading-listening-writing test task. The results show that integrative writing strategy use is a multidimensional structure made up of three factors: self-regulatory strategy use, discourse synthesis strategy use, and test-wiseness strategy use. Self-regulatory strategy has a regulative role of other types of strategy use; discourse synthesis strategy has a direct and positive impact on writing performance; test-wiseness has a directly negative impact on writing performance. The findings contribute enormously to the further understanding of the nature of integrative reading-listening-writing tasks.

基于语料库的中国英语学习者词汇深度知识发展研究

摘要:本文基于学习者语料库CLEC和笔语语料库WECCL探讨高中到大三学段英语学习者词汇深度知识的发展。研究发现英语学习者词汇深度知识的发展具有阶段性、复杂性和片面性的特点,其词汇组合关系的发展落后于聚合关系的发展。学习者主要通过扩大词汇量来建立新的组合关系,而词汇的复杂语法结构和搭配词的拓展则严重不足。学习者的近义词语义网络取得了良好发展,但对近义词在组合关系上的异同习得不足。

Title: A corpus study on the longitudinal development of the depth of lexical knowledge of Chinese EFL learners

Abstract Based on CLEC and WECCL, this paper studies the longitudinal development of the depth of lexical knowledge of Chinese EFL learners ranging from senior high school students to college juniors. The research finds that the longitudinal development of the depth of lexical knowledge is characterized by periodicity, intricacy and partiality. The acquisition of syntagmatic relations falls behind paradigmatic relations: Learners build new syntagmatic relations by the expansion of vocabulary, but the acquisition of complex grammatical structure and collocation is insufficient; the semantic network of synonyms is well developed, but the acquisition of similarities and differences of synonyms in syntagmatic relations is deficient.

地形、身体-性、文本——短篇小说集《凤眼》的空间解读

摘要:梁志英是华裔美国文学新生代作家,其短篇小说集《凤眼》自出版以来在美颇受好评,但中国大陆对其研究相对较少,目前的研究也多从酷儿理论入手。本人发现在叙事进程中,《凤眼》中的时间得到了淡化处理,而其空间概念得到强化。本文以空间叙事理论为出发点对《凤眼》进行解读,并结合其短篇小说的特性进行分析,分别从地形空间、身体-性空间和文本空间三方面展开,尝试为《凤眼》以及新生华裔作家作品的解读提供新的空间。关键词:《凤眼》;空间;离散;轮回

Title: A spatial interpretation of Phoenix Eyes and Other Stories

Abstract: Russell C. Leong establishes himself as a leading writer of the new-generation of Chinese American literature. His short-story collection Phoenix Eyes and Other Storieshas attained him popular acclaim in America since its publication in 2000. But he has received not so much attention in mainland China. Much research so far has mainly been done within the frameworks of Queer theory. It is found that time as an essential narrative element has not gained a sense as strong as space in this collection. Therefore, this essay tries to approach Phoenix Eyes and Other Stories from the spatial narrative perspective, with its distincitve features as a short story taken into account. The essay is unfolded from three dimensions: physical space, body-sex space and text space, with an attempt to offer some new insights into the understanding of the collection as well as the new-generation of Chinese American literature.
